Laura Clark

Her aim is to encourage and empower others to fit Pilates into their weekly routines, promoting the sense of strength, health, and well-being that she has gained from making this part of her life.

Laura has always suffered from neck problems since childhood and she strongly believes that Pilates has helped to alleviate the symptoms and to strengthen this area. Laura believes that the pain completely vanishes during the sessions and is particularly effective using the Reformer equipment. She also believes that Pilates has helped her achieve body confidence. She believes Pilates Reformer sessions, in particular, to have shaped and sculpted her body creating a more toned and leaner figure.

Since attending the North West Pilates sessions Laura has developed a passion for Pilates, she would do it every day if she could, she believes in the principles of Joseph Pilates “10 sessions you feel better…..20 sessions you look better….30 sessions you have a completely new body”.

Laura also works as a full-time Dietitian, she is registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the British Dietetic Association.

Laura is from Scotland and graduated there with an Honours Degree in 2000 in Food and Nutrition and in 2003 graduated with a Diploma in Dietetics from the University of Edinburgh.

She moved to Merseyside over 14 years ago for her first Dietetic job and has now over 14 years’ experience as a qualified Dietitian, working in a variety of hospital and community settings including delivering consultant and G.P led clinics in Whiston and St Helens Trust, Knowsley and 5 Boroughs PCT’s and Mersey Care NHS Trust.

Laura is highly experienced in working with patients both adults and pediatrics with complex clinical diseases such as Diabetes, Inflammatory Bowel conditions, Weight Management, Oncology, Renal disease, Allergies, Metabolic conditions and much more. She has a professional interest and experience in Sports Dietetics and is committed to Continued Professional Development which aims to provide Dietary and Nutritional advice in accordance with current evidence-based practice e.g. NICE guidelines and research

Laura after completing the 2016 St. Helens 10k run in just 50 minutes 20 seconds.
When Laura is not doing Pilates she is busy looking after her very active little boy. She also attends the Isabella Rose Foundation Running Club and when she can fit any runs and races into her busy schedule she will always strive to beat her personal best. Pilates really helps to lengthen and align her body, helping to keep her supple and support recovery after a run.

Laura has always enjoyed Pilates and Yoga Mat work since her teens but when she discovered North West Pilates and the experience of the Reformer equipment, The Magic Circle and Clinical Pilates she believes this took her Pilates experience to a whole new level. She strongly believes North West Pilates to be a positively challenging, fun and exciting experience.
