Developed by Juliu Horvath, GYROTONIC® training uses sweeping, spherical motions to stretch and strengthen through every conceivable plane of motion.
This unique equipment is quite different from ordinary weight machines which are designed in a linear fashion using box-shaped movements. This is ideal for lower back/shoulder rehabilitation – try it for yourself and see.
Based on Yoga and energetic principles, this intelligent movement system uses breath and free-flowing movements to enhance health and improve spinal mobility and lower back/shoulder rehabilitation. The results are supple, powerful, lean, and coordinated muscles. Whatever your physical condition, your body will thank you.
We offer both GYROTONIC® which is equipment based and GYROKINESIS® which is mat and stool based
What is the Difference between GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®?
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® consists of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®, exercises characteristic of three-dimensional movements that focus on the spine and increase the functional capacity of the entire body. Flowing movements massage the organs. Meridian pathways are targeted to release blocked energy. Connective tissue is conditioned, reshaping the body and making it stronger at the joints where most injuries occur. Breathing patterns increase coordination, endurance and aerobic activity, making this an ideal lower back/shoulder rehabilitation programme.
GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® exercises serve therapeutic and rehabilitation needs for lower back /shoulder rehabilitation as well as high endurance and elite athletic training.GYROTONIC exercises are performed on specially designed equipment that adds resistance and support without inhibiting range of motion or speed.
GYROKINESIS® exercises are performed using only a stool and mat for seated, standing and lying down positions.A GYROKINESIS® class works on the entire body and focuses on 7 natural spinal movements. Breathing patterns and fluidity of postures are emphasized. A GYROKINESIS® class appears and feels more like a massage than like traditional Yoga or Pilates.
